A pair of framed hand-colored French fashion engravings from Galeries des Mode etc Costumes Français, 1778. Look at all those bows, and their elaborate coiffures! The first, engraved by Voysard, shows, an opera singer in her newest costume, and the second, by Bacuoy, shows a "young lady of quality" in French court dress with wide panniers and fan. Both feature a caption in the lower center, and the artists' and engravers' names in lower corners.
💎 Each framed engraving measures 15.25" H x 12" W x 0.5" D. Both are framed in wood framed beneath glass, with wire to the verso for hanging. Good to fair condition - some discoloration and foxing to plates, wear to frames, tears in paper backing - see images for reference.
