The House of Worth, 1962. Scarce softcover book for the Brooklyn Museum's exhibition of gowns made in 1858 to 1910 by the celebrated 19th century couture house and first international fashion "brand" as we know it today. Best part is the many black and white pictures of high society New Yorkers of the day, modeling the original antique Worth gowns styled through a 1960s eye.
